About Me: Kyoko has a BA in Education from Tokyo Gakugei University and has been teaching elementary, middle, and high schools both in Japan and U.S. She first began teaching English as a Second Language in 1987 while living in Tokyo. She continued teaching ESL in Seattle, WA until she moved to Arizona in 1994. Along with teaching mathematics at a private high school, Kyoko has been teaching Japanese Language and Culture for the last two years. She is also a Second Grade teacher at Arizona Gakuen School on Saturdays. She enjoys playing tennis, hiking, running, and reading.

Favorite Musician: the Beatles, Utada Hikaru

Best Language Learning Tip: Don’t be shy; ask good questions in a positive manner. Make a connection with people around you. Making mistakes is the best way to learn; let others correct you.
