About Me: Mika is a native of Osaka, Japan. She started her career as a language instructor in 1995. Prior to moving to Arizona in 1999, she taught English to Japanese students, as well as Japanese to English and Spanish speaking students. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka and a master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. Mika’s hobbies include international traveling, learning languages/culture, hiking, and pottery.
