Customer Spotlight
Having wanted to learn Spanish for many years, I contacted Le Tutor language services. Aaron has worked with me helping to identify my learning style to aid in the proper fit for an instructor. Her knowledge of language and ability to relate to me professionally and personally is deeply appreciated. If my early experiences are any indication, I will be successful and have a lot of fun in my process of learning a second language.

Client: Progressive Roofing
A nation wide commercial roofing company that has encountered problems communicating because of language barriers. Like many service industries Progressive employs a large number of monolingual Spanish speaking employees, which has made communication between supervisors and employees difficult.
Problem:
- Progressive's supervisors were having difficulties communicating with their Spanish speaking employees, which reduced their productivity and made jobs more difficult than they should be.
- Progressive has several Spanish speaking workers that they would like to promote to supervisor positions, but the obvious communication problems have kept them from a promotion.
Solutions:
- We have developed a language training program that is customized to Progressive's business needs, schedule, and their supervisors' communication needs.
- Phase 1 - An 8 week Introduction to Spanish for Construction Professionals course was created and completed. This class improved the supervisors ability to communicate with their employees and their confidence. Le Tutor focused on their needs such as: time, location, quantity, commands, and laid the foundation for more advanced training.
- Phase 2 This November the class will focus on bringing together all of the skills learned during Introduction to Spanish for Construction Professionals and will teach them to engage in more diverse conversations.
- Phase 3 This class will solidify the students speaking ability and will give them more advanced language skills necessary to communicate in any situation.
- Teaching the Spanish speaking employees English presents a different challenge that is not as easily defined. We developed an English as a Second Language course that will improve their confidence, speaking ability, pronunciation, and vocabulary. The objective of this course is to teach the students to effectively communicate with the management team in English.
- Phase 1 Starting in November this class begins by identifying the students needs and strengths then filling in the holes and building a strong foundation for more advanced conversational speaking skills.
- Phase 2 Focus is placed on building conversational speaking and listening skills that will give them the communication skills and confidence to perform their supervisor duties.
- Phase 3 This last phase will teach the students advanced level speaking and listening skills and will fine tune their skills to meet the more technical needs of their supervisor duties.
